The goal of the International Coaching Research Forum (ICRF) is to foster progress and community in coaching research.

The ICRF is jointly sponsored by The Coaching and Positive Psychology Initiative of Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital and by The Foundation of Coaching Co-chairs are Carol Kauffman, PhD, PCC and Mary Wayne Bush, EdD.

In September 2008, on the campus of Harvard University, 40 internationally recognized researchers, coaching professionals, and other coaching stakeholders gathered from around the world, in order to help define the research agenda that will best advance the field as an evidence-based discipline.  The resulting coaching research proposals have been posted on this site. All 100 proposals are available via PDF. Proposals can also be browsed page by page or searched.

We hope that these coaching research ideas will be instrumental in prompting new coaching research and thereby advance coaching as an evidence-based discipline. The Foundation of Coaching has committed to over $1M of research funding, and they welcome grant applications. Find out more.

For this important initiative, we hope to reach researchers, coaches, and all other significant coaching stakeholders.
